Summer Camp! :)

Well our summer camp is off to an amazing start! We have studied plants, flowers, and trees as well as life at the pond!
This week, we're kicking off 2 weeks of study on the ocean! Our "Under The Sea" unit kicked off today and the kids had a blast! I've turned one of our walls into our "ocean" by hanging ocean paper on one wall. As we learn about many of the different animals in the sea, we will take their pictures and put them in the part of the ocean that they typically live in (on the surface, in the middle, or on the sandy/rocky bottoms). The kids had a lot of fun placing starfish, an octopus, and stingrays on there today! We also made an ocean out of blue jello and gummy fish! The kids enjoyed mixing up (and eating!) their ocean creations!
We're only on week 3 and already the kids are forming new friendships, learning to help each other out when needed, and really building on their social and emotional skills. It's so fun to watch them grow!
Thanks for checking in on us and God Bless! :)

Ms. Melissa
